Beyond the Field brings communities together through a shared love of soccer, providing free health check-ups and wellness education, and mentoring students. CleanPlay events use the draw of a youth soccer tournament to provide health-related screenings and educational sessions to local children and their families. Housing and food are often included to ensure all participants can fully engage in the activities. Play on pitch is fast-paced and joyful while dedicated nurses administer free check-ups during the tournament, extending vital healthcare services and wellness education to the hundreds of cumminmty members at no cost.
Ongoing Support for Young Scholars
We are excited to announce that, in addition to hosting our annual CleanPlay project, we will continue our commitment to supporting students in need. We will sponsor exceptional middle and high school students who have demonstrated excellent academic potential despite facing limited resources. Our support will provide these students with essential educational supplies, including textbooks, notebooks, and writing materials. Furthermore, we will cover any outstanding tuition balances to ensure they can focus entirely on their studies.
July 2025 - Greater Accra, Ghana
Changing Lives GH partnered with Cate School’s Metherell Grant Program to build a clean water well to serve the community of Olebu in Accra, Ghana, providing sustainable access to safe drinking water where none previously existed. Beyond just access, the project will reduced the time women and children spend walking long distances to fetch unsafe water, allowing more time for education, work, and community activities. The well will also help lower the risk of waterborne diseases, creating healthier living conditions for families. This initiative not only improves daily life but also represents a long-term investment in the community’s health, education, and economic development, ensuring that future generations benefit from reliable, safe water resources.
